The Benchmade designed HK14700 Auto is a very nice low-drag, high value automatic opener. This one is guaranteed to please. The 14700 is the larger version of the 14750. It has a modified spear point tip and a foliage green aluminum handle and a black oxide 440C blade. Quite a keeper here. As always, Benchmade delivers with this knife. Foliage green color = most excellent. I wasn't quite sure what to think when a friend first started describing this knife. I am a bit of a traditionalist. I like black or wood handles on my knives. The green is very nice. Of course, since this knife is manufactured in the Benchmade plant it is top quality. The materials are the very best to be had. I especially like the modified spear-point tip on this knife. The black DLC coated blade makes for a good look. The safety is on the spine and works like a charm. I wish it were just a bit bigger but the functionality of it is fantastic. I really like the handle pattern on this knife. Great overall automatic knife. I rate it as a 9.25 out of 10. Benchmade has done it again--it seems that every knife they make rates as a 9+ for me.
