This butterfly trainer is smooth.  You can train without cutting your fingers.  Have you been trying to learn a new trick but are concerned about excessive finger cuts, get this and train with it.  It has dull, thick edges that won't cut.  It is weighted similar to ogher butterfly knives of the same size and has a very smooth operation.  It is built very strong, you can put this sturdy mule through a lot of abuse and it will just keep on working.
