CRKT Lift Off Spring Assist Knife, Razor Sharp Edge CRKT Lift Off Spring Assist Knife, Razor Sharp Edge with Triple Point Serrations CRKT Lift Off 2 Spring Assist Knife, Razor Sharp Edge
The CRKT Lift Off spring assist sport knife and work folder is everything you expect out of a CRKT product.  This knife has top notch blade steel, great grip and balance, very strong construction built for the real world, and it looks very cool.  The assist open is extremely fast.  So fast that CRKT decided to call it the Lift Off™.
The Lift Off is built with an InterFrame system that has stainless steel liners.  One of these acts as the linerlock.  Then it has two textured black Zytel scales above the liners.  The left scale features a deep arrow pattern and both liners have very nice friction grooves where your fingers most commonly come in contact with the handle.  The blade is a satin-finished modifed drop point design.  Then it has a notched and swedged top edge with a high hollow grind.  The blade is made of AUS8 and this version has the Razor Sharp Plain edge.
Perhaps the coolest feature of all, CRKT combined their OutBurst assisted opening system with the Fire Safe mechanism.  When it is closed, teh blade is locked with the Fire Safe pin.  It cannot be opened until you push on the safety button that is on the end of the thumb stud.  To open, you push this button down and give a slight flick with your thumb to get the blade started open--it pops right out and locks up nice and tight.  There is one caution from CRKT:  "When closing the knife, always press firmly to fully close the blade, and be sure the Fire Safe pin locks into place securely with an audible 'click'".

The Lift Off series is excellent.

CRKT's new Ignitor™ T Outburst assisted knife has a tactical color scheme.  With a non-reflective dark gray titanium nitride coating on the blade, it has corrosion protection and a tactical look.  The "T" also features black G10 Scales.  Thus knife features a modified drop point design plain edge blade with a high hollow grind.  The blade is made of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel.  The frame is constructed with CRKT's InterFrame technology.  The stainless steel liners are layered over with G10 textured scales with CNC machined grooves to aid grip.  One of the liners acts as the frame lock mechanism. It also has a pocket clip (tip up).
As CRKT states, "The true breakthrough is our ability to combine our patented(2) OutBurst™ assisted opening with the patent-pending(3) Fire Safe™ mechanism. When closed, the blade is safely locked by the Fire Safe pin. It cannot be opened until the safety button on the end of the thumb stud is firmly depressed and the thumb stud is nudged outward. Then the blade springs open instantly for use. Yes, this is a design for right-hand opening, but it is the best integration of folder safety and fast access that we have ever seen in a sport and work folder. Caution: When closing the knife, always press firmly to fully close the blade, and be sure the Fire Safe pin locks into place securely with an audible 'click'".
This knife is great.  Carries well, has nice aesthetics and stands up to some serious use.

CRKT Ultima Large 6.75 Spear Point Plain Cutting Edge CRKT Drifter G10 InterFrame Build, Combined Razor-Sharp & Triple-Point Serrated Cutting Edge CRKT Kommer 30-30, Ebony Scales, Manual Folder, Hunting Knife
Today’s tactical fixed blade knives still resemble the first Bronze Age daggers of 4000 years ago, especially in their handle design. Michael Martinez, sculptor, inventor, and martial artist, didn’t start out to redesign the fixed blade, but he explains, “In my edged weapons training, I kept noticing how many knives didn’t feel right, didn’t have a grip that gave both control and comfort in the four fundamental tactical grips.” Michael’s design firm, Group Design, Inc., reached out to a team of medical specialists for the answer. Their Ultima™ achieves 22 out of 23 ideal contact points with its unique patent-pending handle.

The injection-molded black Zytel® scales feature over 70 triangular grip segments, separated by sipes, or “ooze grooves” which channel away water, mud and oil. Horizontal grooves are placed under the fingertips for optimum feel.

Because tactical knives are inevitably used as pry bars, Michael’s team created a butt pry tip as an extension of the blade tang, with a rounded tip.

The Ultima is available with a 6.75” or 4.95” full-tang blade of 1.4116 stainless steel with a light bead-blast finish. It is available with Razor-Sharp or Combination Razor-Sharp and Veff™ Serrated edges. The 2125KV features a black titanium nitride blade coating.

Serrated models feature our patented* Veff™ Serrated edges. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60 degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly. They give dramatically improved cutting ability on rope, webbing, strapping, hoses and leather.

An injection-molded black polypropylene Ultima Trainer is also available.

Tactical Sheath. The Ultima’s custom black Cordura®/Zytel® sheath has an injection-molded liner. Dual belt loops are Velcro® adjustable. For maximum versatility, there are ample grommets with a length of 550 paracord included, an adjustable leg strap, plus a slotted sheath back that can mount on MOLLE gear. Removable security handle straps with snaps give access and security. A utility pocket with a Fastex™ buckle will carry a variety of folding knives, multipurpose tools or sharpeners.

After 4,000 years of scientific progress, the only thing the Ultima shares with its bronze ancestors is its role in the mission.
The Drifter G10 is a locking liner folder with black G10 scales and a premium 8Cr14MoV stainless steel 2.875” drop point blade in a gray titanium nitride finish. It features an InterFrame build with stainless steel liners and a black stainless steel clip. It is available in both Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges. Our art directors and photographers may have become jaded after years of illustrating products for our catalog, but even they were blown away by the quality and finish of our Kommer 30-30 folding hunters. They said, “It was simply a joy to set up the photos because this knife looks good from every angle.” Designed by custom knifemaker and former Alaskan guide Russ Kommer, these production knives do indeed have that special look and slick action of a Kommer custom.

That is the approach that our factories took, building these knives of top-quality materials, and finishing them by hand, just as a custom knifemaker does.

The classic drop point skinning blade has a high hollow grind and Razor-Sharp edge to make fast work of the largest animals. We used 1.4116 stainless steel for its combination of edge-holding ability and toughness. The blade is mirror polished to resist corrosion. A ramped thumb stud and Teflon® bushings at the blade pivot allow easy one-hand opening.

Our strong InterFrame build uses two stainless steel liners, one locking, topped by stainless steel bolsters and hand-finished wooden scales. You have your choice of dark ebony, or rich red cocobolo.

Russ knows that cleaning is an issue with all hunting folders, so he went to great steps to avoid dirt-holding nooks and crannies. For example, the pivot screw is shielded behind the bolsters. The liners and bolster are polished. And the stainless steel back spacer is smoothly contoured inside and out. Finally, there is no clip to catch debris.

Instead, we provide a custom contoured leather sheath with a belt loop and snap-down flap to completely protect the knife when it is not in use.

The result is a sleek knife that not only looks like a million dollars, but feels perfectly balanced in your hand. It is a simple classic design, carefully executed.

Of course, our art director also wanted to know the suggested retail price of the Kommer 30-30, and he thought we were joking. We weren’t. You could easily pay twice the price for a knife of this quality.

And you don’t have to be a hunter to carry one, because it also makes a useful personal carry, with a hint of the rugged Alaskan outdoors.

CRKT Crawford A/O Truimph Folder CRKT Elishewitz Anubis, Zytel Handle, Plain Edge CRKT Tiny Tighe Breaker A/O Black Blade and Hardware, Black Metallic Scales, Razor-Sharp Cutting Edge
The Triumph Folder is a large and formidable tactical knife designed for grip, with double finger choils, thumb friction grooves and deeply grooved G10 scales. The 420J2 stainless steel liners, one locking, are a hefty 0.1” thick.

The beefy 0.14” thick blade is a dual-grind Tanto with a recurve to aid cutting and a false top edge grind for penetrating power. Blade steel is premium AUS 8 stainless steel. Both Razor-Sharp as well as Combined Razor-Sharp and an exclusive patented(1) Veff™ Serrated edges are available. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60 degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly.

The Triumph Folder is available with patented(2) OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.

To maximize safety, it is built with an exclusive patented(3) AutoLAWKS™ safety that automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade instantly.
Allen Elishewitz, the acclaimed Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker designed the CRKT production version of his Anubis (the jackal-headed god of the underworld, according to ancient Egyptian mythology). Our CRKT Anubis™ shows its lineage as an Elishewitz shape, with the benefits of advanced production technology.

The blade shape is uniquely Allen’s, with a pronounced drop point, long spine and a high hollow grind, resulting in strength and cutting power. For superior edge retention, we use AUS 8 stainless steel in a non-reflective bead-blast finish. It is available in both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edge grinds. A gold-plated Elishewitz logo is inset into the stainless steel blade in the manner of custom knives.

Teflon® and brass bearings at the blade pivot assure fast either-hand opening, using dual checkered thumb studs which also act as blade stops.

The button lock gives absolute steel-on-steel lockup, resulting in the strongest lock possible. We have added a version of our patented* AutoLAWKS™ automatic safety, giving maximum security against accidental closing. To fold the knife, you must pull back the safety lever and press the button at the same time, making accidental release during vigorous use just about impossible.

Allen’s design also features an unusual open build with a Zytel® spine back spacer that allows easy cleaning of the blade groove. Construction is stainless steel for the frame with injection-molded Zytel scales and an inset brushed stainless steel bolster at the butt. The handle perfectly fits the average adult hand. Dual reliefs at the finger choil aid grip, and make opening easier.
We we saw custom knifemaker and Knifemakers’ Guild member Brian Tighe’s custom Tighe Breaker™ folder, we were immediately excited about offering a production version. We asked Brian to design a slightly smaller personal carry model with a 2.875” blade, which he calls the Tiny Tighe Breaker™.
It was a perfect opportunity for us to incorporate all the technology at our disposal in a stunning, functional and affordable statement.

For example, the Tiny Tighe Breaker is available with our patented(1) OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.

Yes, you don’t have to be a rock star to afford this new Barry Gallagher folder. As you know, Barry is one of the most acclaimed members of the Knifemakers’ Guild, well known for his award-winning high-end custom art knives. So we had a special challenge in producing Barry‘s new Badger™ design at a quality level that would satisfy him, while keeping the price low enough to satisfy you.

We selected high-carbon 5Cr15MoV stainless steel for the 2.85” blade, and applied a non-reflective black oxide coating for maximum corrosion resistance. It’s an unusual blade shape that we call a “notched drop point” with a high hollow grind and a strong center spine. The result is a blade with excellent slicing ability and good penetrating ability with minimum weight.

The Badger features our patented* OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. It has Teflon® bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth action.

The grooved thumb disk allows fast either-hand opening, and the locking liner has friction grooves for easy one-hand closing.

CRKT owners expect the strength and rigidity of our InterFrame locking liner build with two 2Cr13 stainless steel liners, also black oxide finished, and a black aluminum back spacer. For the Badger scales, we have created a special layered green and black textured G10, which is CNC machined top and bottom to aid grip. The effect is indistinguishable from the best custom builds.

As a final touch, we added a removable custom stainless steel clip, also black oxide coated to match. All fasteners are quality Torx®, and are also finished in black.

The result is a well-balanced personal knife that feels just right as an every day carry. It fits the hand perfectly, opens with crisp authority, and looks great, too. You can tell your friends it’s a Barry Gallagher design, but you don’t have to mention the very affordable price.

Pat Crawford, who operates Crawford Knives in West Memphis, Arkansas, with his son Wes, is a mellow and soft-spoken custom knifemaker. But there is nothing mellow about his custom Triumph™ Folder which Pat calls, “a fast cutting machine for professionals.”

He says, “I was impressed by the strength and slashing ability of a reverse-curve Tanto blade, so that was where I started designing the Triumph. It has a different look, not as art, but as an entirely functional shape.”

Like Pat’s customs, our production Triumph Folder is a large and formidable tactical knife designed for grip, with double finger choils, thumb friction grooves and deeply grooved G10 scales.

Both Razor-Sharp as well as Combined Razor-Sharp and our exclusive patented(1) Veff™ Serrated edges are available. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60 degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly.

The Triumph Folder is available with our patented(2) OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.

To maximize safety, we built in our exclusive patented(3) AutoLAWKS™ safety that automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade instantly.

Two color schemes are available. The “K” series has a matte black EDP coated blade with special black and green G10 scales. The “TS” series features a camo tiger-striped non-reflective blade with black G10 scales. Diagonal CNC-machined grooves in the G10 give excellent grip in wet and muddy conditions.

The Triumph is fully ambidextrous, with dual thumb studs that allow fast either-hand opening.

The two-position black Teflon®-plated stainless clip is removable and allows left or right tip-down carry.

As Pat Crawford says, “Speak softly, and carry a big Triumph.”

Canadian knifemaker Brian Tighe is a true Renaissance Man, with an array of professional skills including tool and die making, metallurgy, engraving and photography. In his St. Catharines, Ontario, workshop, he produces a wide array of custom folders, all with those signature touches that immediately make them stand out as Brian Tighe knives.

We have carefully translated Brian’s popular My Tighe custom frame-lock folder into an affordable production line, with four models in bead-blast finish and two in black. At first glance, the knife seems like a design exercise until you grasp it and understand that the concave cut scales are craftily shaped to enhance grip, aggressive with contours in just the right places.

Brian’s blade design is unique too, with its asymmetrical spine facets, high-hollow grind and deep belly with recurve. We use 1.4116 stainless steel in a high satin finish and offer both Razor-Sharp and our exclusive Combination Razor-Sharp and Veff™ Serrated edges. Designed by knifemaker Tom Veff, these unique scalloped and angled serrations cut through rope and cord smoothly without snagging. On our “K” models, the blade is coated with black non-reflective titanium nitride for maximum corrosion resistance.

The frame-lock folder has an open build with heavy-duty 420J2 stainless steel frames and a 6061 T6 aluminum back spacer. Frames are bead-blast on the bright models, and black EDP plated on the “K” models. The injection-molded black Zytel® scales have a carbon fibre texture. Torx® fasteners are used throughout.

Each model is available in conventional non-assisted opening models, or with our patented* OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. All have bronze and Teflon® bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for fast action.

Dual ramped thumb studs allow the My Tighe to be quickly opened with either hand.

All models feature a removable black Teflon-plated pocket/gear clip.

It’s hard to ignore any Brian Tighe design, especially these highly personal work knives. Carry one and you will certainly start a conversation among knife fanciers everywhere. The knife industry was so impressed at the Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia, it was named the 2006 Imported Knife of the Year

We were delighted when internationally known Japanese knifemaker and American Knifemakers’ Guild member Koji Hara agreed to design a personal knife for CRKT. Koji is noted for his custom folders in exotic materials, and is especially known for his carving of the handle material into a classic terraced landscape that he calls his “Air-Step” design. Our goal was to apply Koji’s remarkable design sense to a small personal folder which could incorporate our patented OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism.

Logically, we called this first CRKT Koji Hara series Ichi™, Japanese for “one.”

For rigidity and strength, we used our InterFrame open build, with two 420J2 stainless steel liners. In a first for CRKT, we created layered injection-molded scales of Kraton® and Zytel®, the latter with Koji’s terraced Air-Step design. The result is a small knife that gives good grip, fits the hand nicely, and is truly functional for a variety of work tasks.

The handle tapers neatly into a modified drop point pen blade with a high- hollow grind made of high-carbon stainless steel. An ambidextrous thumb disk allows easy one-hand opening.

The Ichi is available in three color schemes: The bright version has a bead-blast blade, frame, and clip with gray Zytel scale inserts and black fasteners. The black-out version features a black titanium nitride blade coating, black Zytel inserts, black hardware and black Teflon®-plated clip. The red and black version features the same black blade, insert and clip treatment as the black-out version with a subtle red scale tone. If desired, the stainless steel clips are easily removed.

Each model is available in conventional non-assisted opening models, or with our patented* OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. All have bronze and Teflon® bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth, fast action.

Most of us can’t carry a Koji Hara custom collectible daily, but the Ichi is a friendly and affordable reminder of one of Japan’s premier custom knifemakers.

Custom knifemaker and Knifemakers’ Guild member Kit Carson is widely known for his M16® design, which we offer in many CRKT production models. But since 1990, Kit’s most consistent selling custom model has been his classic M4™. In his usual unassuming manner, Kit says, “I guess you’d say it’s my flagship custom. It’s simple, with form following function. No tricks that look slick but aren’t worth a flip in your hand. I’ve made many variations on it, from exotic collectibles to working tacticals, in maybe 20 versions. But I still get more and more calls to make the M4.”

So here is the production CRKT M4 that you can afford to carry every day, anywhere. And while we were engineering it, we decided to add some more value by offering our patented(1) OutBurst™ assisted opening as an option, and our patented(2) and exclusive AutoLAWKS™ safety which automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade instantly for the ultimate in safety.

Traditionalists can buy the M4 as a conventional non-assisted opener, while the more progressive can choose our patented OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. Both styles have dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one-hand opening and bronze and Teflon® bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth, fast action.

The blade is a high-hollow-grind drop point of premium AUS 8 stainless steel in a bead-blast finish. Both Razor-Sharp and our exclusive patented(3) Combined Razor-Sharp and Veff™ Serrated edges are available. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60 degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly.

Our heavy-duty InterFrame build is true to Kit’s design, with dual stainless steel liners, one locking, and a 6061 T6 anodized aluminum back spacer. Brushed stainless steel bolsters are inset with textured black Zytel® scales.

Finally a high-mounted pocket/gear clip allows low in-pocket carry.

So here you have a friendly work knife that fits the hand naturally for all kinds of cutting and carving tasks. Like Kit, it’s a bit unassuming, but it’s a knife you’ll come back to year after year
Award-winning custom knifemaker and Knifemakers’ Guild member Ed Van Hoy has designed a number of hot sellers for CRKT, but this one is On Fire. No really, that’s its name, On Fire™, and it has all the right equipment to be one of our most popular personal knives.

This time Ed’s torrid notion is a frame-lock folder that is not only a shapely form in stainless steel and aluminum, but incorporates our advanced CRKT technology.

For example, our patented(1) OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism instantly springs the blade fully open after you have used the knurled thumb stud to open the blade approximately 30 degrees. Action is super slick, thanks to bronze and Teflon® bearings at the adjustable blade pivot. Conventional non-assisted models are also available for those who prefer them or to meet jurisdictional requirements.

Also neatly incorporated at the pivot is the patented(2) LAWKS® safety, which effectively converts your folder into a virtual fixed blade when actuated— and that makes the On Fire not only a fast folder, but a very safe one.

The On Fire’s 2.375” drop point blade is premium AUS 8 stainless steel in a contemporary bead-blast finish. It is available in both Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges. A swedged top grind and four lightening holes add to its appeal.

Ed’s open build is an unusual combination of a 420J2 stainless steel frame-lock with a 6061 T6 black anodized aluminum side plate, both liberally slotted and drilled to save weight.

Finally, a removable custom bead-blast stainless steel pocket/gear clip gives all the carry options imaginable, in pocket, on belt, or in bags and briefcases.

Maybe most important, this is a knife that is easy on the eye. Every curve is in the right place; every motion fluid like those of a good dancer.

Ed Van Hoy continues to light our fire.
Yes, yes, we know. Those of you who love to drool over Allen Elishewitz’s web site of exquisite custom knives have pointed out that our production CRKT Pharaoh™ is very different from Allen’s custom Pharaoh. Sorry for any confusion, but this is a unique design that incorporates many of Allen’s themes, and we felt it was so special it deserved to be called “king.” You will look very hard to find a production knife in this price class that is anything like the Pharaoh, so it does stand a bit larger than life.

First there is the unique blade grind, reminiscent of the traditional “long clip blade” of a century ago, with Allen’s own innovations. The tip is designed for penetration, with a swedged top edge. But the center of the blade is recurved, with a high hollow grind, making it ideal for feeding material to the cutting edge— wood, cord, vegetation. The blade is AUS 8 premium stainless steel in a bead-blast finish. Both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edge grinds are available.

The frame is about the strongest we can imagine, with dual stainless steel liners, brushed stainless steel bolsters, textured injection-molded Zytel® scales, and a solid Zytel back spacer at the spine.
