This Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert manual folder features a part serrated edge on the 154CM blade with a false edge feature. Basically the same knife as the Covert Automatic knife, this great manual folder has a fantastic feel to it. Made with dual thumb studs so it can be opened from either side, the handles are made of FRN and tinted a foliage green color. The handle has a lanyard hole in it and the pocket clip is black coated stainless steel and is reversible. This knife also features the Lake-Walker Interlock Manual safety lock. The Gerber Ripstop Multi-Plier is outstanding. It has all the bells and whistles. This butterfly opening multi-plier has all its components "outboard" which means you don't have to open the pliers to access the tools. The spring loaded pliers open when your hand releases it's grip and the stainless steel handle has a nice airframe design that makes the tool light. At only 10.25 ounces, the Gerber Ripstop is one loaded set of pliers. It has needle nose pliers with integrated wire cutters, a philips screwdriver, saw, fine edge and serrated edge knives, small and large flathead screwdrivers, bottle opener, can opener, scissors, and a lanyard. When you slide the safety open, it only goes about halfway. But, then the knife can be opened. This is a fairly good and extremely compact sharpener. It serves more to keep a relatively well sharpened blade in condition. You can sharpen a very dull blade with it, but it will take a lot of work. I rate it a 9 out of 10. It is really nice because you don't have to worry about setting angles or mixing something up. Simple, compact, and light.
