The Microtech Navy Scarab line of dual action out the front automatic knives were designed for underwater use and diving. These rapidly deploying knives are similarly sized to the flagship Microtech Ultratech however it offers wider handle scales and stronger spring action. The aluminum handle with incorporated grip tape inserts design slightly tapers in and then flares back out for a true ergonomic grip. Additionally, you will find bi-directional and multi-sized jimping patterns to offer a multitude of grip options. What makes this knife so special and unique are the vented slots found near the ejection site of the handle which allows the knife to eject and lock open underwater. Additionally you will find tritium inserted into the firing slide trigger which assists with visibility in low light situations. Finally, this knife has a special saltwater-resistant coating and removable rubber gasket that delivers a seal to the ejection site when not in use. This model, the 182-4TA, features a tan handle complete with standard hardware and an integrated glass breaker function along with a drop point blade in a satin finish. Made in the USA.
