Microtech's L.U.D.T. auto knives are back--and we couldn't be more excited. This side open automatic knife was first produced in the 1990's and quickly ended up as one of Microtech's fastest selling knives. That is saying a lot. The new model of the L.U.D.T. (stands for the Large version of the Underwater Demolition Team) auto knife has textured T6 black anodized aluminum handles It also has a black coated S30V part serrated blade. This knife comes with a black nylon buckle sheath and has a removable belt clip (stainless steel). This Microtech Katana Halo II is a beautiful knife. It has a satin finished S30V drop point style blade which is plain edged. The handle is T6 anodized aluminum. When triggered, the blade comes straight out the front. To retract, the Halo has a charging handle (you take the base of the handle and pull it, this retracts the blade. Then you push the base of the handle back in. Look at the picture and you will get some idea of how this works). This line is limited to 100 pieces and, according to Microtech, will be the last original-style Halo they ever produce. These are very limited so get yours while they last.

The Currahee is a full tang fixed blade. This knife was originally designed for the US Special Forces Boat Team 20. After much serious field testing, the Currahee has proven that it makes the grade. In testing, it handled high intensity, adverse conditions and came out with flying colors. Currahee is a Cherokee name, which translates as “Stands alone”. CURRAHEE is also the name of the last mountain in the Blue Ridge chain of mountains, where the US Army established Camp Toccoa during WWII. It was here that the first Parachute infantry troops trained. Microtech says, "This knife far surpassed all expectations, and therefore, we gave it the name 'Currahee'".
