Out the Front Knives & OTF Switchblades


Out the Front knives, or OTF's as they are often known, are knives which when triggered, push the blade right out the front of the handle.  There are two main types of OTF switchblades; single and double action.  Single action push the blade out when triggered but then must be reset or recocked before they can be triggered again.  Double action, or D/A, are knives which use the trigger to push the blade out and then use the same button to pull it back in again.  Out the front knives are a form of automatic knife and so if you are looking to purchase and own one of these great knives, you must follow the laws of your area as they pertain to auto knives.  OTF's are a lot of fun to own and to carry.  It isn't easy to find cheap out the front knives but we have many different styles and prices of great knives here at BladeOps.com.   Look through our large selection of cheap otf knives, find your favorite, and order one today!

This is an OTF (out the front) clone knife of the knife that Heath Ledger playing the Joker uses in the new Batman movie. It has amazing fast and strong action. This knife was originally designed as a Special Forces combat knife and has a Japanese 440 stainless steel double edged blade. The blade is bead blasted. This is one great knife.

This double action out the front automatic knife is excellent.  The handle is powder coated aluminum.  This means it has a good grip.  The switch is on the side which means the knife is thin for easy carry.  This otf knife is switched open by flicking the switch one way, and then closed flicking the switch the other way.  The switch is reasonably stiff and so there is no safety on this knife.  It also has the word Lightning imprinted on the blade.  This is an excellent OTF auto for the money.

OTF Concord Imitation AKC Briarwood Tactical Concord D/A OTF Plain Smith & Wesson Out the Front Spear Point
This Concord OTF Imitation has a hard plastic handle and a black coated stainless steel blade that is sharp on one side.  Surprisingly good action on both in and out with the button.  You slide it up, the blade comes out; you slide it back, and the blade goes back in.  If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get an out the front knife, this is a pretty good knife at the price. This Out the Front is a classic made in Taiwant and stamped "German Stainless" on the blade.  The handles are ABS green plastic inserts.
