This knife has a slide safety on the front of the handle that keeps the knife locked when you want it that way. The black handle, made of anodized 6061 T6 aluminum is comfortable to hold and has a couple of curves that make it easy to keep your grip on this knife. At the base of the handle on the spine side there is an integral loop for a lanyard and an integrated pommel that can be used as a glass breaker. The blade is stonewash finished 154CM stainless steel. The TR4.1 has a plain edge. At the base of the blade on the spine side the blade has a satin finish. This gives it a two-tone style look. This Pro-Tech LIMITED EDITION Damascus Defiance double action automatic knife has an amazing damscus finsih blade. The blade is a Nichols "Ladder Dot Com" stainless Damascus finishand is 3.5" long. This knife features a black aluminum handle with 3k twill carbon fiber inlays and has leaf spring action. This knife is serial number 20. It also has a custom Titanium pocket clip. The Damascus is a Blade Show '09 special, this auto knife is one of the best and most reliable dual action knives in this class I have ever seen. You can use these thumb studs to open the knife manually. The locking mechanism on the knife is a stainless steel liner lock. At the very uppermost part of the inlay on the front scale there is a secret button that activates the knife and opens it automatically. This button is the best I have ever seen. There is no way you know there is a button there by just looking at the knife. The top edge of the inlay actually just depresses slightly into the rest of the handle when you push it and out pops the blade. This knife will be an amazing addition to your collection.
