The new Brend 3 line from Pro-Tech Knives is the happy middle ground between the very large Brend 1 and the compact Brend 2's. Like all Pro-Tech knives, the Brend 3 has beautiful action and a tight, well constructed feel that you would expect from a top line knife manufacturer. This knife has a satin finished 154-CM blade (plain edge). The handle is T6-6061 aluminum with Tan G-10 inlays. It also has a black coated clip. ProTech automatic knives easily rank in the top echelons of production knives. ProTech spends the extra time to make sure the fit of the knife is perfect and they use some superb materials in the construction of their knives. Not custom, but almost a semi-custom production knife, each automatic knife made by ProTech has a good feel and look to it. I especially like the Brend 3 series because of the size of the knives. Made as a mid size alternative to the extra big 1 series and the small, but useful Brend 2 series, the Brend 3 knives hit that happy medium. The PT1331 looks and feels like their tuxedo line of knives but actually has tan G-10 inlays instead of the ivory micarta that the true tuxedo knives by ProTech have. I prefer the G-10 for regular use. It gives a little more durability and it makes the knife a little lighter. This is a great auto knife that I can heartily recommend. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.
