Smith & Wesson has made a spring assisted knife that acts nearly like an automatic knife. This knife was designed as a Special Operations Rescue Team (S.O.R.T.) knife, but functions for so many different applications it is nearly an all purpose knife. You can get it in either a large, or a medium. Like all S&W knives, the SORT is made from top quality products. It looks sleek and functions extremely well. You just pull the lever and the blade pops out. The blade shape is great, and comes extremely sharp right out of the box. I expecially like how thin this knife is. An all around great carry knife. I rate it a 9 out of 10. It gets high marks for quality, materials, design, and functionality.
