Spyderco's Citadel Jr (83MM) automatic knife is fantastic. It is just exactly as good as the Citadel original auto knife but in a smaller package (only 7.5 inches long open) for a smaller carry profile.
The Citadel, long awaited, lives up to the expectations. This beefy auto knife has a very nice textured aluminum handle. Right in the middle of the handle it has the Spyderco logo. The S30V is satin finished (plain). It snapes out fast when you push the plunger style push button. It has a reversible pocket clip, tip up. This is a great knife for anyone.

Yes. Before the Caly3 (and abbreviation of the name) there was a Calypso2 and Calypso1. No they didn’t fade away or die. They were improved upon, becoming more functional and useful with each rendition. Like comparing the first Corvette to today’s Corvette, the latest Caly3 is an offshoot and tangible testament to the design’s durability and sale-ability in the market. People continue buying the folder because Spyderco held true its original premise: A great folding knife should function and feel like a natural extension of the hand.
The Caly3CFP, with its high-end laminated ZDP-189 blade steel with buffed carbon fiber handle is (yes) yet another variation of the knife that converted legions of knife buyers to the hard-use benefits of flat-ground leaf-shaped blades. In order for the knife to feel like a larger knife in the hand, it needed well-designed ergonomics. A forefinger-choil and thumb-rest give the hand purchase points, filling out the palm and offering cutting control. Its leaf-shaped blade is flat-ground VG-10 and the Spyderco Round Hole is 11mm facilitating easy opening. Stainless handle is smooth and has a tip-up integral pocket clip. Chances are you've heard it said "a sharp knife is safer than a dull one". We believe this quote originated from first hand experience and find it to be true. The Sharpmaker was Spyderco's first product, which we made and sold before getting into the knife business. It's true -- First we made things sharp, then we made sharp things.
The Tri-Angle Sharpmaker (204MF) includes two sets of high alumina ceramic stones: A pair of medium-grit (brown) stones for aggressive sharpening and a set of fine (white) stones for professional grade finishing. The stones are triangular for sharpening Plainedges on the flat sides and SpyderEdges (serrations) on the corners. A furrow running the length of each stone lets you sharpen pointed items like fishhooks, darts and awls. Included is a set of brass safety rods protecting the users hands while sharpening. All components snap into the self-contained ABS plastic base and lid -- ready to travel with you. Die-cut into the base are keyed slots and holes fitted for the stones. They accurately set the stone's sharpening angle at a 30° (15° each side) or 40° (20° each side) for knives and a 12.5° scissor setting. Turn the base over, a channel lets you lay two stones side-by-side (flat-side up) for use as a benchstone. The lid snaps halfway over the base creating a handhold for stability while you're sharpening. Included is a set of brass safety rods to protect the users hands while sharpening. Ceramic stones, like glass, will break if dropped -- handle carefully. Use them dry, without oil, water or lubricants. To clean: scrub stones with a plastic scouring pad and powered abrasive cleaner, let air-dry. Also autoclave safe. System comes with instruction book and DVD.
