The word "Brakimo" stems from the Matis language who were a Brazilian tribe that had not been discovered by the modern word until 1970's. Because of this, it was very very evident that their survival skills surpassed anything we knew today. Bushcraft expert Joe Flowers took the characteristics of the tribe's lifestyle and his own survival-based knowledge to create the Brakimo fixed blade knife. Thanks to its scandi ground blade comprised of 1095 carbon steel, you can be certain you will experience impressive splitting and cutting power. The Brakimo also includes green canvas Micarta scales which provide consistent gripping action even when wet and a kydex sheath which provides multiple carry options. Made in the USA.
