The Desert Fox Spring Assisted knife is fantastic. It has dual thumb studs and a spine flipper. This knife locks up with a linerlock system. We've named this blade after one of my favorite WWII generals, Erwin Rommel. It definitely has a military look and reminds me of the famous tank general. One of the greatest military minds of the last century, this knife is our "Desert Fox". This is one smooth opening knife! Just a gentle nudge on the the flipper and the coil spring snaps the blade out like a switch blade. The 440 stainless steel blade is set in a stainless steel frame with black anodized aluminum scales. Pocket clip on the back.

With a flip of the index release that sticks out of the back the handle or the thumbstud on the blade, the blade is released using the spring inside. Because of the manual pressure applied and the lack of a push button to release the spring, assisted opening knives fall outside the federal definition of switchblade.

The Tiger Muskie is a nice spring assisted blade with green wood inserts on the handle. Spring assists are nice because they are legal in many more areas than autos. This knife is made of black steel and has a very nice weight to it. The blade is made of very nice 4440C (plain) black finished steel. This blade has very good action and a great feel.

George Patton was by far the most brilliant military mind during WWII. He led his troops the old fashioned way, from out front and with a lot of passion. His blunt manner won him many loyal followers. This knife is llike George S. Patton--all business. Just as Patton is my favorite WWII general, this knife is my favorite "Value Knife".

We've named it after the 101st Airborne because it has a parachute enveloped in wings etched on the side of the blade. A very nice knife for the price.
