It has a T6 6061 black anodized aluminum handle that was designed from the ground up to carry the best characteristics of the SERE 2000 and integrates the ergonomics, flow-through design and the reversible deep pocket clip for very discrete carry. It features S30V part serrated stainless blade that is satin finished. This no nonsense, utilitarian knife is great to carry and is one of the best auto knives I have ever used. It feels good in your hand, carries well, and has a great clip point blade shape. The Auto SERE also has a tip up pocket clip. The safety is on the side and is a slide mechanism.

The Auto SERE knives are high quality automatic knives with some of the best quality materials available. This version, the AS4 sports an S30V stainless steel clip point blade with a nice satin finish. It looks great. For me, the Al Mar knives are examples of understated quality and functionality. They have a basic feel to them but you know that they are going to work when you most need them to. The handle is a great shape for your hand. It feels good. The plunge lock mechanism is easy to operate. This is one of the best no-nonsense automatic knives you are going to find on the market.
