Nice Rig! April 7, 2018

My first Bear OPS knife.   Given the price for what I got - I'm impressed.   Feels great in the hand when open.

Machining is clean, operation smooth.  Knife has all the features one would expect, blade stop is solid, and lock up seems on point.   The engagement button is not recessed, thus might be a game of roulette in the pocket.    This one works, but is not consistent.   It's both difficult to engage and even when engaged, the knife can still be triggered.    Mechanically speaking, it looked like it was designed somewhat less than optimum from a leverage perspective.

Blade quality seems good.   The laser etch was somewhat low quality, and personally I would have left it off.  I suspect it's because of the inconsistency of the Damascus.    It came fairly sharp, but not quite as clean as some other larger branded knifes.   A quick leather hone got it where I like it.

All in all, I'd buy another, think I would try one of the other metal options just for the heck of it.
