Description

The Casbah side-open automatic knife is one of many new knives released by Benchmade this year. Modeled after the late H&K Patrol auto knife, this design features a textured Grivory® handle scale, a recessed firing button, a front-mounted slide safety design, multiple jimping locations for maximum retention in multiple grip styles and mild finger grooves which further improves upon control. This Black Class model, the 4400SBK-1, features a blue Grivory® (nylon copolymer) handle, stainless steel liners, a drop point style blade, that is partly serrated, in a black finish and the deep carry pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option. Made in the USA.

    Retired and a fan of traditional knives - but worsening arthritis and pain in hands have made fishing in a pocket and opening some of my quality American made knives difficult. This knife has very good steel and comes with a very sharp edge and because of the synthetic handle with molded in metal (well demonstrated in handgun design for a few years,,,,) so the knife is very light for the size of the blade. I am at home in a shop in the forest all day. My first pocket clip knife, but is easy to insert and I am on a learning curve in drawing. Easy to see a noticeable improvement in getting and using the knife. It is very tightly made and seems to work just fine in opening and cutting. I like this knife a lot and will carry it a lot. Very happy.
