Description BladeOps Knife Reviews

Benchmade first got their start in 1988 and began with just butterfly knives (hence the logo) before diving head first into automatic, spring assisted, folder, fixed blade and rescue tools arena. Offered in multiple sizes and handle configurations, this lightweight model features a patented liner-sprung spring latch locking mechanism as well as next generation kicker pin technology which provides incredibly smooth action. Take it from us--this could quite possibly be the only balisong you ever need thanks to Benchmade's incredible tolerances and a semi-custom look without the heavy price tag. This larger Blue Class model, the 51, features semi-skeletonized black G-10 handle scales coupled with blue anodized and jeweled titanium liners, a spear point style blade in a satin finish and the reversible titanium pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option. Made in the USA.

An Overall Awesome Knife! September 21, 2011
Reviewer: Benjamin Long from Hubbard, OH United States
This balisong is a smooth flipper and a great user for those of you that can legally carry balisongs in your area. The D2 tool steel holds an edge for quite a while depending on what you use it on. The G10 handles are very grippy and durable. The blue anodized titanium liners are beautiful, but are darker in person than they look on the internet. The spring latch works extremely well when closed, but doesn't work when locked in the open position. I love this knife and is for the most part a great knife. The only problem I've had with it is that one of the small screws on the handle opposite the latch handle became loose within two days of flipping use, but I tightened it back up with ease so it wasn't a big deal.

Benchmade 51 review September 20, 2011
Reviewer: Justin Sadler from hopewell jct., NY United States
OK, let me start out by saying this is my favorite knife by far. It is the best flipping knife i own (literally).OK so i ave had some problems with this knife. The screws on the BM51 have a tendency to loosen up over time, i have had one of the small screws below the pivot screw fall out, so you might want to think about using some loctite on the screws, and also they are hex screw's keep that in mind.  but Benchmade is such a great company, i just sent them an e-mail explaining the situation, and they had a full set of new screw's  to my house within a week of the e-mail being sent.My only other problem, is that because the blade is D2 steel(not stainless)i have had some surface rust, but that is easy to clean.be sides that , I love this knife. The two aspects of this knife that make it a great flipper are the weight , and the curved blade spine. This is a knife you can flip for hours .Well that is my knife review, hope it has helped make your decision, and have a flippin good day!
