Cold Steel's Mini Tac Tanto knife is one of their new generation of Neck knives that weigh in at 3 ounces.  Lightweight for comfortable carry, the Mini Tac comes with a rugged Secure Ex sheath and a sturdy bead chain.  They can be worn as a utility knife or rescue knife or under your shirt for a more discreet carry. For a knife this size, our Mini Tac™ Tanto offers a remarkably wide, stiff blade and a very sturdy reinforced point, making it ideal for piercing even tough, hard objects. As an added bonus, its wide blade allows for a very generously sized hollow ground blade bevel and an extra keen edge so it can cut almost as well as it pierces.  The Mini Tac Tanto blade is made of AUS 8A stainless steel and is razor sharp.  Made with G-10 handle scales, the handle is shaped to provide a remarkably secure grip.

Perfection made tiny, but difficult to carry October 6, 2011
Reviewer: Drew Alexander from Johnson City, TN United States
This knife is near perfection, especially for under $50. Good steel, a practical Tanto design, perfect thickness, great handle design, and aggressive G10 scales make for a winning combination. The blade comes razor (I mean hair shaving) sharp, and the fit and finish elsewhere is just as impressive. Everything on this knife is just right, from the size to the jimping, but the sheath is a bit of a miss.
The sheath is on the heavy and bulky side. Folded kydex may have been a better option. Also, it extends just a little too far up the knife, covering the main finger choil and making the blade slightly difficult to withdraw. Next are the tiny grommets; they're too small and spaced strangely for other carry options (e.g. a Tek-lok). With all of its beautiful design and excellent execution, the knife is limited to carry in my pocket and slow to deploy.
This is still an amazing fixed blade EDC. I'd definitely buy it again. When something is this good, you find ways around its faults.
