The spring assisted version of the SOG Kiku is one of may new knives released by SOG this year. SOG and Japanese knifemaker Kiku Matsuda first introduced the Kiku folder, followed by the Kiku fixed blade, which was quick to achieve various awards for their exceptional collaboration work. Each Kiku model, regardless of functionality, features rugged and low maintenance micarta handle scales and a stainless steel blade that will help keep an edge for everyday tasks. The blade on this spring assisted knife is propelled thanks to the dual thumb stud design--offering quick action and a solid lockup. This model the KU-3002, features an earthy green-colored linen micarta handle, stainless steel liners, a modified tanto blade in a TiNi (Titanium Nitride) black finish, and a deep carry pocket clip statically designed for tip up carry only.
