This uniquely shaped froe blade is a tool for cleaving wood by splitting it along the grain. Traditional froes have the blade perpendicular to the handle which is safer then a hatchet due to the fact that the blade does not need to be swung. This model, the SCHF64, features a black TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) handle, a froe style blade in a dark grey finish and the black polyester sheath allows for a belt carry option in addition to the incorporated leg strap.
