The Spyderco Chaparral folder knife is one of many new folders released by Spyderco this year to feature alternative handle materials--more specifically FRN featuring Bi-Directional Texturing. This model features a full flat ground CTS-XHP stainless steel which is exclusive on the entire Spyderco Chaparral series. The Chaparral utilizes Spyderco's Back Lock mechanism--a locking system positioned on the back of the handle that uses a rocker arm that pivots in the center. This knife is part of Spyderco's Gentlemen's Folder which showcases elegantly slim pocket knives coupled with state-of-the-art handle materials and treatments. This model, the C152PGY, features a grey FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, skeletonized stainless steel liners, a drop point style blade in a satin finish, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and reversible pocket clip allows for tip up carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option.
