Custom knifemaker Gayle Bradley has teamed up with Spyderco for the inaugural release of his first flipper knife--the Advocate. Bradley certainly is no stranger to the esteemed Spyderco family with numerous folder and fixed blade models already produced with more still to come. Flipper knives are all part of the folder knife category and are easy operated thanks to a pronounced tab that protrudes out of the forward part of the spine. This particular flipper utilizes a R.I.L (Reeve Integral Lock), developed by knifemaker Chris Reeve, locking mechanism with a long-wearing steel insert nestled right into the handle. This model, the C214TIP, features a 3-D machined titanium handle with an "orange peel" texture with a slight bronze hue, a premium CPM-M4 satin finished clip point style blade, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and an ambidextrous pocket clip which allows for tip up carry only but is eligible for left or right hand carry options.
