The Spyderco Urban folder knife was originally released in 2009 and later discontinued but is now back and more refined. This model features a flat ground Swedish-made Bohler K390 blade which rates highly in terms of edge retention and strength and the handle design showcases opposing jimping on the thumb ramp and index finger choil for increased control. The Urban utilizes Spyderco's patented Notch Joint mechanism--a non-locking joint in which the blade is held open by spring pressure against a notch in the blade tang. This knife is part of Spyderco's exclusive Sprint Run family which offers limited-edition production runs of knives not found in their normal production models. These knives are highly sought after because once they run out, they will never be made again in the same variation. This model, the C127PGY, features a grey lightweight FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, a satin finished leaf shaped blade, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and a reversible pocket clip which allows for tip up carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option.
