The Spyderco Meerkat folder knife is one of many new folders released by Spyderco this year. This knife's compact and future-forward design highlights a 2" full flat ground blade and utilizes Spyderco's Phantom Lock mechanism--a mechanism housed discreetly inside the handle and is disengaged by pivoting the handle scales in opposite directions. Furthermore, this special knife showcases a tri-layered laminated blade featuring a HAP40 tool steel core and SUS410 stainless steel outer layers. This knife is part of Spyderco's exclusive Sprint Run family which offers limited-edition production runs of knives not found in their normal production models. These knives are highly sought after because once they run out, they will never be made again in the same variation. This model, the C64JPBORE, features a burnt orange FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, a satin finished drop point blade, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and an ambidextrous pocket clip which allows for tip down carry only but is eligible for left or right hand carry options.
