The Spyderco SpydieChef folder knife was designed by the renowned Polish knifemaker Marcin Slysz who married the balance and ergonomics of a high-end chef's knife with the functionality of an EDC (Every Day Carry) knife that is almost impervious to the elements. As part of Sypderco's Salt Series of ultra corrosion resistant knives, the state-of-the-art LC200N blade material is actually the same material used by NASA for the ball bearings in their aerospace applications. This knife utilities the R.I.L. (Reeve Integral Lock), developed by knifemaker Chris Reeve, mechanism and the solid titanium handle scales have an open back design for care-free maintenance. This model, the C211TIP, features a satin finished sheepsfoot blade, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and an ambidextrous 4-way positional pocket clip which allows for a tip up or tip down carry option on either side of the handle.
