The Zero Tolerance 0100 features a unique recurve blade designed for multi-tasking versatility, minimal mass, and maximum performance. This blade shape provides ideal leverage in tough cutting situations and a precisely centered point to handle piercing tasks with ease. The blade is CPM 3V tool steel and is .19 in. (.48 cm) thick. Crucibles CPM Particle Metallurgy process creates steel that is more uniform and dense, improving both wear resistance and toughness. 3V is designed to provide maximum resistance to breakage and chipping and to hold its edge longer. It offers impact toughness approaching the levels of shock resistant grades, while providing high hardness and thermal stability for coatings. With a Rockwell rating of 58-60, 3V is the steel for tools that have to perform under the harshest of field conditions. ZT coats the 0100s blade with black Tungsten DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) to protect the blade from staining and for non-reflectivity. The scales are 3-D machined G-10, also in matte black. The machining provides a secure grip, while the G-10 was selected because it exhibits extremely high mechanical strengtheven in extreme temperatures. G-10 is also an excellent insulator. The 0100 comes with a nylon-webbing sheath with multi-carry configuration capability and a convenient utility pocket.
